    This page is too short.
This article doesn't cover everything it should. It needs to be expanded.
Details: Only the basics are here, but it's still worth to take a look. Formatting guide to be added next.

This page is a guide for new and existing editors.
If you want to make a good edit to the wiki, please take a look!

    Writing style

Have you seen this notice on top of some pages?

    This article uses informal language.
This page doesn't follow the writing style and needs to be reviewed.

Not following the writing style will result in this notice, or can even lead to an edit not being accepted.

    Writing rules

    • Pages have to be written in English
    • Phrasing has to be inpersonal* - which means not referring to the reader directly (like this guide does). For example, use "once a player reaches level 30" instead of "once you reach level 30".
      • * this doesn't apply to tutorial sections, where referring to the reader is more natural. (example)
    • Keep the writing mostly formal - you can safely use "don't" instead of "do not", but for example something like "and this event is very random" is too informal.
    • Quotes from the game have to remain the same - even grammatical errors.
    • Don't include your opinions - the wiki is meant for storing facts about the game. For example, "Blades, the best dragon..." wouldn't get accepted. If you want to chat, use the discussion board.

    Note
If English is not your native language and you don't feel confident with it, not following all writing rules is okay! Your edit will still be accepted if it contains useful information and itsn't overly informal.

    Submitting an edit

The image above shows the most important parts of the interface. Please use them accordingly when you edit, as explained below:

    🟦 Summary

Always write a summary of what you changed in the page. It doesn't have to be very detailed or long: summaries like "typo" or "fixed quest reward xp" are perfect. Writing summaries speeds up the moderation process as it's easier to decipher the change preview with a description. It also makes edits readable in Recent Changes.

    🟩 Previewing changes

Preview before saving your changes. It's a very useful feature, and seeing how the page looks with the changes can help notice typos or formatting errors.

    🟪 Minor edits

Minor edits are small changes like typo correction or rewording. Checking this is optional, but is a good thing to do if it matches your edit.

    🟥 Saving changes

Please only save your changes once you previewed them, and are done editing. If you plan to do many small edits, it's better to do fewer bigger ones. It makes moderation easier, and doesn't clutter Recent Changes.

    Note
If you forgot to follow any of these rules, don't worry! The edit won't get rejected because of it. Just make sure to follow them most of the time.

    Additional tips

    • If you make a big edit, it's always a good idea to copy the whole page source from time to time. There's nothing worse than losing your progress because of bad internet.
    • You can write in multiple places at once by placing your writing cursor while holding the Ctrl key. This is especially useful when editing tables.
